So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
It seems to be a reflex action on the part of humans to automatically judge ourselves in comparison to others. We find that we are either a little better or a little worse. However, when we focus our attention on the throne of God and we see ourselves in comparison to him and his righteousness we can see the sobering impact of the Apostle Paul's words.
As individuals we will each give account of ourselves to God. It is not about what anybody else has done. It is not about the thoughts, motivation or behavior of someone else. It is about ME. On that day of reckoning it will be all about me.
The only way to escape God's dreadful verdict is to stand before Him clothed in the righteousness of Christ.
