Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
As long as we are living in this sinful, fallen world we will be dealing with evil.
Evil may take different forms as we deal with our sinful nature, our present world systems and demonic forces. If we are not careful we may become overwhelmed by evil.
We are admonished by the Apostle Paul not to give the devil even a foothold. We need to be on our guard and not give in to the negatives or to evil.
There is always a way out if we truly want to escape evil. We should always seek to find the good in every situation because evil can only be diminished with good.
