I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Jesus declares that he is the TRUE VINE. If there is a true vine then we are led to believe that there may be other vines that are not true.
The purpose of the vine is to give nourishment to the branches and to keep the branches attached so that they can bear fruit.
The Father is the gardener and he tends the branches by pruning them to bear even more fruit.
May we always be nourished from the true vine.
