For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
A tree can only produce fruit it was created to produce. An apple tree will never produce oranges. Oranges grow on orange trees. Apples grow on apple trees. This is a natural law.
When we became citizens of the New Kingdom, the Holy Spirit came to live in our hearts and made us new creations. We became a new tree so we now produce fruit of the Holy Spirit.
The Apostle Paul made a distinction between the fruit of the natural man and the spiritual man. The natural man can only produce fruit consistent with his nature. The spiritual man produce fruit consistent with his spiritual nature.
May the fruit we produce reflect a life that is filled with the Holy Spirit.
