I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
The prophet Daniel, many years before the transfiguration of Jesus saw the Ancient of days in a vision. His words give us a limited picture of his glory. He struggled like the apostles, many years later, to describe the glory of GOD.
WHITE AS SNOW
PURE WOOL
FIERY FLAMES
BURNING FIRE
May we take a moment to meditate on the glory of GOD and what it will mean to one day see this glory for ourselves. One day we will come face to face with our Lord and Savior. One day our knees will bow before him as we worship and adore him. One day our joy will be complete as we leave this temporary world behind.
We echo the words of all who believe and say, 'even so, come Lord Jesus'.
