Revelation 1:14
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
John, the apostle, one of the twelve disciples, had witnessed the transfiguration of Jesus with James and Peter before his crucifixion. He saw the shining light of his glory and he felt the fear of being in the presence of deity.
As he was worshiping in the Spirit many years later he was given a vision of his beloved friend and Savior. Jesus stood before him again in his majesty and his glory.
Words are inadequate again:
WHITE LIKE WOOL
WHITE AS SNOW
FLAMES OF FIRE
The glory of God is like nothing our finite minds can ever perceive.
