Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
It is not a good idea to usurp someone else's authority. Position, power, authority will come to us in the right tine. It may take hard work and experiences but it is better to achieve a leadership position in an honest and right way.
As believers we are servants of King Jesus. He has the highest authority over everything - visible and invisible. When we call him LORD we are saying that we are his servants and that we are willing to obey him.
When we choose not to follow and obey him we are usurping his authority in our lives and in essense we are saying that we are now Lord of our lives.
Blessings come to us when we not only hear the Words of Jesus but when we choose to obey them and keep HIM as LORD of our lives.
