PAUSE FOR A MOMENT - June 9

Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid?

Stronghold is defined as a place that is fortified against attacks. So, when the Psalmist refers to God as the stronghold of his life it brings to mind safety and security. God, as the stronghold of our lives, remove the need for fear, worry and anxiety.

Who on this earth can ever fight against God and win? The Roman seal on the  tomb was no match for Jesus as he triumphantly broke out of the grave. The guards fell like dead men.

The fire that was heated seven times hotter to instantly kill Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not even singe their hair as God intervened and kept them company.

The demons declared, 'Jesus, we know, ...' Acts 19:15. May we never forget that THE LORD is the stronghold of our lives. There is absolutely no need for fear.
