The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Why is salvation so important to us humans? Firstly, we cannot save ourselves. If we were able to save ourselves we would not need salvation, we would be as a 'god' without needing the help of anyone else.
Secondly, needing salvation implies vulnerability. It shows that we have limitations and that we are not in the 'god' category.
Thirdly, salvation must come from someone higher, mightier, and more powerful than we are. Someone who deserves our worship and adoration. We can serve and worship the LORD of our salvation.
May we always seek salvation from our GOD!
