When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!”
The very presence of Jesus was able to accomplish something that no one or nothing else ever could. Mr. Tomb-dweller approached Jesus and fell at his feet. Eyewitnesses to the encounter saw a violent, naked man shouting at the top of his lungs as he ran towards Jesus.
They had no idea what to expect from this encounter but they knew something unexpected was about to take place.
'What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?...'
Amazingly, this man knew who Jesus was and the knowledge was personal. He knew Jesus was not backing down from a confrontation.
'I beg you, don't torture me!'
All Jesus had to do was allow this man to approach him and the battle began. The very presence of Jesus will torture evil spirits.
Believers today have the Holy Presence of Jesus in their hearts. There is unleashed power dwelling in us and all we need to do is let Jesus have his way.
