Acts 10:34-35
Then Peter began to speak: 'I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and do what is right.
It is encouraging to note that God deals with each one of us on an individual basis. We cannot say that because our parents feared God that we get a free pass. We must never become apathetic about doing what is right.
Jesus told a parable of a man who went into a crowded wedding feast without wearing the proper wedding garments. He was one person in the midst of the crowd but yet he was exposed. He was not given a free pass because he came to the wedding but was held responsible for not wearing the proper wedding attire.
May we be careful about the labels we give ourselves and think that it is enough. God does not show favoritism but sees us as individuals and accepts us based on our personal actions.
