All a person's ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.
We are also encouraged not to judge each other. Knowing that only God can weigh our motivations is a great reason to leave judgment to the Lord.
If we do not practice regular self-examination and ask God to reveal hidden motives in the things that we do, we may become arrogant in serving him, thinking that we are righteous. We may fail to recognize that our self-righteousness is 'filthy rags' in his sight.
May we seek to have pure motives as we go about our daily tasks.
