I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
The love that God has for us shines in these words. These are the actions of a kind, loving God. He will instruct and teach. He is not just giving us a rulebook and ask us to learn the rules on our own. He will be our teacher!
He also promises to counsel us. Counseling is interactive learning. Counseling is not a lecture. Counseling is something that we seek when things are confusing or not going right. God promises to counsel us with his loving eye on us. He is not seeking to punish us or condemn us. He is looking at us with loving eyes.
May we accept God's loving instructions, teachings and counsel.
