PAUSE FOR A MOMENT - January 8

Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The principle of living each day to the fullest is always encouraged in the Scriptures. In the Lord's Prayer we read, 'Give us this day our daily bread'. Jeremiah declared, 'God's compassion and mercy are new every morning.' The Israelites were told that they must gather their 'manna' every morning with the exception of Friday when preparing for the Sabbath.

Worrying about tomorrow or living for tomorrow is futile because we do not have the ultimate control of our lives. We cannot say with 100% safety that we will be alive at the end of the day.

It is far better to do all the good we can, love as hard as we can, laugh as loud as we can, enjoy life as best as we can each moment of every day.

Worrying about tomorrow takes away precious joy from today.

May we practice the principle of living our lives to the fullest each and every day.
