I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you.
There are times when we feel misunderstood, all alone and as if we don't belong with a certain group or in a certain place. Jesus words to his disciples make it clear that no matter the circumstances on earth, as long as we believe in him we will always belong to him. We do not ever have to feel like orphans.
The Psalmist wrote that even if our parents forsake us God never will. He will never leave us. When I became his child I chose to belong to him.
One of the greatest feelings in this world is to know that there is always somewhere I can call home. Knowing that I am not an orphan means that there is always somewhere I belong. I am always kept safe in the arms of Jesus.
