He said: "Listen King Jehosaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours but God's.
What a timely reminder today for the believers' heart! We look around and for a moment we may lose sight of the promised victory because of what is temporary. We get so caught up in the world's affairs and somehow think that we have to do something about what we feel is wrong and unjust.
Let us be reminded today that no matter what we see happening around us, THE BATTLE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE LORD'S. He has not walked away from us and we may not fully understand his ways. But as long as we are on the Lord's side which is always the side of mercy, justice and love for the suffering masses of humanity, we will be victorious.
May we not lose heart today but like the army of King Jehoshaphat let us hold on to God's promises for we know that His words never fail!
