PAUSE FOR A MOMENT - January 11

Colossians 1:13
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.

Our value and worth is measured by how much
someone is willing to do or pay to rescue us from a dangerous situation.  We read stories of people going into burning buildings to rescue loved ones. Siblings will give up vital organs to ensure the continued health of a brother or sister. Parents are willing to die for their children.

Love is a great motivator in determining value. God so loved us that he sent Jesus to die in our place so that we would be rescued from the kingdom of darkness.

God sees our value and worth even when we don't see or comprehend it ourselves. It took the death of the perfect Son of God, innocent of any wrongdoings but willing to become sin, to pay the price for our rescue.

YOU and I must be very valuable to GOD!
