Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107:8-9
Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love. When we look around and listen to unbelievers confidently proclaim that there is no God our hearts are filled with sadness and compassion for them. They are unable to see and acknowledge the unfailing love of the God and King of the universe. They have no one to thank for all the wonderful things that happen on this earth, the breathtaking views, the near misses of asteroids and natural disasters. They have no one to thank for the good things in their lives.
Citizens of the New Kingdom know that Our God and King is in control and he is personally involved in our lives. We are confident of our King's protection and we know that he is the one who satisfies and brings good things into our lives.
Citizens of the New Kingdom cannot help but give thanks to the King!
