Citizens Of The New Kingdom - November 2

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.  When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that we have found the pearl of great value when we accepted King Jesus' invitation to become citizens of his New Kingdom.

Citizens of the New Kingdom, like the man in the parable, know that nothing in this world is greater than eternal life and fellowship with King Jesus forever. There is nothing that we would not give up, no place that we would not go or no person that we would not forgive if that is what it takes to attain the pearl of great value. The pearl of great value according to the parable is becoming a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven.

The rich young ruler in Luke 18 did not recognize the pearl of great value when he walked away from following Jesus. The question is, 'Am I willing to give up everything for the pearl of great value?'
