Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 1 John 2:15
Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to seek and love King Jesus and the New Kingdom to which we now belong. We seek daily to love the things of GOD more than the things in this world.
Citizens of the New Kingdom know that whenever we take our eyes off our King and what he desires for us we will start seeking the things of the world. When we try to fulfill our spiritual desires with things from this world we are left feeling even more empty because the things of this world are foreign to our spiritual nature and cannot bring lasting fulfillment.
