My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27
Citizens of the New Kingdom are like sheep having our King as the good shepherd. The King seeks intimacy with his citizens as he knows each of us individually.
Citizens of the New Kingdom listen to the voice of the King. We intentionally choose to listen to the words and instructions from our King. We know that we can trust our King because he loves us and gave up his life for us as a good shepherd does for his sheep.
Citizens of the New Kingdom follow the King. Listening without obeying and following is like the sheep that keeps wandering away from the safety and protection of the shepherd. The instructions the King gives to us are for our protection and safety. When we wander away from him he does everything he needs to do to bring us back to the safety of his love and protection.
