Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 31

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7

As citizens of the New Kingdom we have beautiful affirmations and promises throughout God's Word. Citizens of the New Kingdom know that in the midst of our most horrific circumstances we always have a hiding place in King Jesus. We are sheltered from the raging storms. We have seen the omnipotence of our God throughout the time line of history and we know the magnificence of his power.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know there is safety, protection and deliverance in our King. There is nothing to fear from the ruler of this world's kingdom. He is a defeated foe and cannot harm King Jesus citizens without permission. We may not know our future but our King has it all before him at all times and promises to fill our hearts with songs of deliverance.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 30

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. Psalm 32:6

Citizens of the New Kingdom have a direct line of communication to their King. He promised that he will never abandon or forsake his children. He will always be found by his citizens because he longs to hear our prayers.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that King Jesus is able to protect us from man-made and natural disasters if that is his will for us. Our King promised to bring good from what may seem evil to us in our current situations. Sometimes the path to good may lead through suffering and disappointment.
It is always best to let King Jesus be in control!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 29

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord .” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Psalm 32:5

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that the secret formula to freedom is found in a guilt-free life. The only way to peace of mind, contentment of heart, calmness of spirit and stillness of soul is going boldly into the throne room of King Jesus and acknowledging our sins and transgressions.

In this acknowledgement and confession we are not sharing a secret with the omniscient God of the universe. He already knows our sins, he sees all our faults and he is not blinded to our iniquities. Confessing our sins opens up the door of communication with our King. It is an act of worship from creature to Creator. When I confess my sins to God I am telling him that he knows best and that he is the sovereign God.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that having the guilt of our sins forgiven is one of the most rewarding benefits of redemption. Living in the freedom of forgiveness makes our hearts lighter as the burden of our sins are taken away.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 28

For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Psalm 32:4

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that having a vibrant, vital relationship with King Jesus is one of the most important element of being a citizen of the New Kingdom. Our King loves each of us as individuals; he seeks a relationship with each of his children; he sees every detail of our lives and he wants us to be free and not burdened with un-confessed sins.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are very sensitive to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. In our pride we may try to ignore his knowledge of our sins and deny our conscience telling us that we are sinning. King Jesus cannot let us continue to carry such a heavy load so he shows us ever so gently what it is like to have a broken relationship with him. It feels like a heavy weight on our heart and striving to live without strength. Nothing seems to go right until we make it right with him again.

Living in forgiveness is a beautiful thing!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 27

When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. Psalm 32:3

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that unconfessed sins will cause a break in our relationship with our King. He lives in complete holiness and sin cannot exist in his presence. This is one of the reasons he had to go to Calvary. He made provision for us to be Holy like he is by exchanging his holiness for our sinfulness.

Citizens of the New Kingdom have no reason to hold on to unconfessed sins because provision has been made for us to be cleansed from all unrighteousness by confessing our sins to our King as soon as we are convicted by the Holy Spirit.

Citizens of the New Kingdom always seek to have an unbroken relationship with King Jesus. Guilty conscience from unconfessed sins may cause physical and mental discomfort. Left unchecked this may lead to despair and depression.

Let us always seek to have an unbreakable relationship with King Jesus by continually confessing our sins and accepting his forgiveness daily.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 26

Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit. Psalm 32:2

Citizens of the New Kingdom have obtained favor from the Lord and we are blessed because our sins are no longer counted against us. The Lord forgives to the uttermost and he completely takes away every sin from his citizens. King Jesus shedding his blood at Calvary was the ultimate transaction in the plan of redemption. When our King cried out 'It is finished' that was exactly what he meant. No other sacrifice would ever be needed for our sins NOT to count against us.

Citizens of the New Kingdom can honestly go to the Father holding nothing back as we confess our sins to him. There is no reason to hide who we are from our Father. He knows everything about us in minute details and he loves us anyway. King Jesus gave up his life so we no longer have to be ashamed before our loving Father.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are blessed when we have put away deceit from our lives and we go to the throne of grace transparently and honestly.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 25

Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Psalm 32:1

Citizen of the New Kingdom do not ever have to live with un-forgiven sins and transgressions because the blood of our King has covered them all. He doesn't keep a record of our sins second by second and mark off the ones we confess and save the un-confessed sins to hold over our heads.

Citizens of the New Kingdom always have an open door to the throne of grace where King Jesus sits waiting in love for us to come to him with honesty about our sinful thoughts and behavior. When we confess our sins he forgives and he cleanses.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are truly blessed as we confess our sins and watch the blood of our King wash them away.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 24

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ... Philippians 1:27

Citizens of the New Kingdom have one purpose in this world. We are encouraged to follow the example of King Jesus. Our thoughts, words and behavior should always reflect the teachings of our King.

Citizens of the New Kingdom read and meditate on the gospel of Christ found in the Word of God. The Holy Spirit guides our minds and gives us the assurance that we are beloved children of the King.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to live blameless lives in this world so that citizens of the world will find the gospel of Christ appealing and attractive instead of burdensome and repulsive.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 23

...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Citizens of the New Kingdom do not need to be afraid or intimidated by the circumstances of their lives. When we accepted our citizenship from the New Kingdom we were given the assurance that we would never be alone. We are never expected to navigate our spiritual path without our King.

King Jesus chose us, called us, made us citizens of his kingdom and will never forsake or abandon us as we live in this world. It is not up to us but always up to him. It should always be not our will but his will.

He who began the good work in us will not stop until the work is completed.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 22

... so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky...Philippians 2:15

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to shine in this world like stars in the sky. We are called the light of the world. The light from the stars cannot be seen in the daytime because the sun shines brighter than all the stars when it rises each day.

Citizens of the New Kingdom will not shine brightly if we separate ourselves from the citizens of the world and live only in the environment of other servants of King Jesus.

When Citizens of the New Kingdom seek to become blameless servants of God in the midst of this dark world our light will shine brightly like stars in the sky in a moonless night.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 21

Do everything without grumbling or arguing... Philippians 2:14

Citizens of the New Kingdom know how easy it is to get caught up in the idea that life on earth is unfair. We grumble at our circumstances and complain when injustice and unfairness become our reward. For a moment we lose sight of our purpose here on earth and think that we deserve recognition and praise.

As citizens of the New Kingdom we are encouraged to remember that our citizenship is in the New Kingdom, not here on this earth. We should never expect honor from citizens of this world and we should be grateful when we are allowed to live peacefully here.

Let us remember to do everything without grumbling or arguing....

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 20

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Citizens of the New Kingdom have the promise that there will be peace in our hearts. This is the peace of God that defies explanation and natural understanding.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that this peace is a permanent gift that is available to each citizen. When we were born into the New Kingdom the Holy Presence of GOD came to reside in us and he brought the peace of God. The peace of God guards our hearts from worry and anxiety. This is all made possible through King Jesus.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are joyful , gentle, thankful and seek to be anxiety - free people.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 19

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Citizens of the New Kingdom live in a world of troubles, trials and tribulations. The natural tendency is to become anxious as stress and anxiety is the diagnosis for many ailments both mental and physical. Worry leads to depression as happiness flees.

Citizens of the New Kingdom have the solution to worry, anxiety and stress. We take every situation to our King.  We go to his throne with our petitions and requests and with thankful hearts leave our worries at his feet.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are joyful, gentle and thankful people.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 18

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Philippians 4:5

Citizens of the New Kingdom are gentle people. We do not seek confrontation but peace even if it means swallowing our pride and walking away from some situations.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that the Lord is always near. King Jesus lives in our hearts and gives us daily blessings. He knows exactly what we need to get through each day.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are joyful and gentle people.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 17

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4

Citizens of the New Kingdom are filled with joy. Disappointment, turmoil, sadness, sorrows may be part of our lives but we do not give in to despair.

Citizens of the New Kingdom find their joy in the Lord not in their circumstances. The Lord's presence in our lives is the source of our joy.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are not always happy in this world because happiness is temporary and fleeting but we are always joyful because joy comes from King Jesus and he is with us always.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are joyful people.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 16

Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands in innocence. Psalm 74:13

As citizens of the New Kingdom we may get discouraged as we live in this foreign world, maneuvering between doing what is right and living in the midst of temptation to do wrong.

When we look around and see the attitudes of citizens of the world and observe how they seem to have no problems and we see them prospering even when they put no faith and trust in God, we may wonder if we are serving King Jesus in vain.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to always remember that we are only in this world for a short time and that we are always loved by our King.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 15

Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. Hebrews 13:18

Citizens of the New Kingdom seek to have a clear conscience as they live in this foreign world. Having a clear conscience is only possible if we consistently seek to live honorably. We must seek to please God in all we do and we must have the right motivation in dealing with others.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to pray for each other. As members of the family of God we are brothers and sisters and we bear each other's burdens. We should seek counsel from those who are mature in the faith and always pray without ceasing for each other.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 14

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you may also be tempted. Galatians 6:1

Citizens of the New Kingdom are not immune from temptations and sins. While we have the choice to sin or not to sin because the Holy Spirit lives within us, we have to continually walk in the leading of the Holy Spirit to avoid being caught up in sin.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that when we are caught up in sin we need to have our brothers and sisters encourage and gently restore us. This is not done by judging or gossiping about us. The caution is that the restorer must also be on guard so that he or she do not fall into the same temptations which is a definite possibility if they take pride in their status of being strong.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 13

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16

Citizens of the New Kingdom seeks to do good and share with others as they continue to serve their King. Sometimes it takes a sacrifice to share with others when we are also in need but God is pleased when we serve others as if we are serving King Jesus.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are reminded to do good because sometimes it is easier to please ourselves instead of our King. Kingdom living is a way of life not a temporary behavior.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 12

I have made you  known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” John 17:26

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged by knowing the love the Father has for us. King Jesus continually showed the Father’s love to his disciples and to anyone who came to him. As he was getting ready for the most agonizing time of his life he prayed that we may have the Father’s love in us.

King Jesus did not pray that we understand doctrines; he did no pray that we know and keep the commandments given to Moses; he did not pray that we live as perfect saints here on earth.  He prayed that the love of the Father may be in us. He gave us a new commandment of love. We read in Paul's epistle to the Corinthians that love is the most excellent way.

Let us love one another today!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 11

Through Jesus,  therefore,  let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. Hebrews 13:15

Citizens of the New Kingdom seek to offer sacrifices to God as part of worship. King Jesus made it possible for us to offer sacrifices of praise to God. We no longer need blood sacrifices because Jesus paid the ultimate blood sacrifice when his blood was shed at Calvary.

Citizens of the New Kingdom bring sacrifices of praise from a grateful heart to God. We praise God openly and continually even if it brings persecution. We are pronounced blessed if we are persecuted for righteous living.

Praise be unto the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 10

Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods which is of no benefits to those who do so. Hebrews 13:9

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to have confidence in the gospel they believed. The gospel that teaches them about grace. Grace, the gift of God that brings salvation and redemption of sin through King Jesus' death on Calvary.

Citizens of the New Kingdom seek to have their hearts and their minds strengthened by grace each morning.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 9

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,  today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Citizens of the New Kingdom have security and stability in their relationship with their King because he never changes. The love and forgiveness that he had for us when we first believed is the same love and forgiveness he has for us today and will always have for us.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged to not listen to the voice of the Accuser and remember the promises of the King.  He called us from the Kingdom of Darkness and promised us eternal and abundant life. Since he does not change - his promises are forever true.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 8

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Hebrews 13:7

Citizens of the New Kingdom are blessed with godly examples of believers who are more experienced than they are in the way of the Lord.

When we examine the lives of our spiritual leaders, see their faith and consider how they live a holy life in this sinful world we should learn from them.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that sometimes they will be disappointed with their spiritual leaders but one thing is certain King Jesus will never disappoint us.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 7

So we say with confidence, ' The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? '

Citizens of the New Kingdom are encouraged by God's promises. King Jesus made it possible for us to know that regardless of the circumstances or situations,  the Lord will always be our helper. We do not ever have to fear mortal men.

The most wonderful promise is that death has no power over citizens of the New Kingdom. We have eternal life and we should never feel threatened by death. We have passed from death into life.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 6

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.' Hebrews 13:5

Citizens of the New Kingdom have the promise that their God is always with them. The powerful God is personally present with us. We will never be abandoned; we will never be forsaken.
We can live confidently and contently each day because we are blessed by our King. One penny or a million dollars is the same to the King who owns everything.
Would I rather have money which will eventually be gone or would I rather have the Presence of my King who supplies all my needs?

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 5

Continue to remember those in prison, as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.  Hebrews 13 : 3

Citizens of the New Kingdom feel the hurt and pain of each other. They are called members of one body. No member of the body can suffer without the pain being felt by the whole body.

The question was asked by Cain in Genesis, 'am I my brother's keeper?' If we belong to the body of Christ then the answer is 'Yes'. We are our brothers' and sisters' keeper.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 4

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13 : 2

Citizens of the New Kingdom have an obligation to show love and kindness to everyone even strangers. In showing compassion to those who are hurting we are obeying the loving command of our King.

Showing hospitality is representing King Jesus to others. When we sow seeds of kindness we reap harvest of eternal blessings. Sometimes the stranger on whom we show compassion may be an Angel of the most High God.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 3

Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Hebrews 13:1

Citizens of the New Kingdom are related to each other. We are blood relatives. We have chosen King Jesus to be our King and we all share his spiritual DNA. This is made possible because of his shed blood. The Lord knows his children.

Citizens of the New Kingdom have a simple instruction in regards to our relationship with each other. One word - LOVE. Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

In his farewell speech to his followers. King Jesus gave one command - love one another; show the world that you are my disciples by loving one another.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 2

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Revelation 4:11

Citizens of the New Kingdom have made these words an anthem to King Jesus. Our Lord and King is worthy to receive praise from his citizens. When we behold the wonder of creation - a beautiful sunset, majestic mountains, rivers, lakes, oceans, starry skies,  etc. We cannot keep silent; we bring to him glory, honor and power.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that Creator God has a purpose for everything that he does. Nothing takes him by surprise. He creates all things for a purpose. We are blessed when we allow our King to place us exactly where he wants us so he can fulfill HIS purpose in our lives.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - July 1

In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30

Citizens of the New Kingdom have experienced the grace of God as he overlooked our ignorance and did not count our lack of knowledge against us.

Citizens of the New Kingdom have seen and accepted the gospel brought to this world by King Jesus. We have repented from the worship of anything other than our Creator God and our unbelief in the sacrifice that King Jesus made for us.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are thankful for God's grace.
