Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 30

Above all else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that they should love the Lord, their King with all their hearts.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that they should have undivided hearts for the Lord.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that if they guard their hearts it will be easier to see evil, walk away from it and choose to do right.

Citizens of the New Kingdom guard their hearts by hiding the Word of God in their hearts so that they will not sin against their King.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 29

Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. Romans 6:13

Citizens of the New Kingdom now belong to King Jesus and we call him Lord. He has control over our lives. He is the final authority over thoughts, behavior, desires and lifestyles.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are obedient to their King and one of his commands is that we live a righteous life on this earth as we walk in the Holy Spirit's leading.

Citizens of the New Kingdom live a submissive life by yielding our bodies as instruments to do the will of our King.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 28

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers,  so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ,  who is the image of God.  2 Corinthians 4:4

Citizens of the New Kingdom must pray that the scales keeping the minds of unbelievers blinded may be lifted for just a moment so that they will get to see the light of the gospel.

It is only by the grace of God that the scales were removed from our minds and we saw the glory of Christ displayed in the gospel.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 27

So it is written, 'the first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam a life - giving Spirit.' 1 Corinthians 15:45

Citizens of the New Kingdom receive eternal life from King Jesus also known as the last Adam. He imparts the Spirit of life to all who desire to become citizens of his kingdom.

The first Adam was a created being and could not hold on to eternal life because the Spirit of God departed from him when he disobeyed his Creator.

King Jesus became a man and was obedient to the Father in all things so that he could redeem mankind and give to all who believe in him the life - giving Spirit. Citizens of the New Kingdom receive the Spirit of life when they were born into the New Kingdom.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 26

I declare to you brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God,  nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 1 Corinthians 15:50

When we become Citizens of the New Kingdom we are no longer spiritually dead. A new imperishable component has been added to our soul. We are no longer only flesh and blood. We are also spiritual. Our flesh and blood component is dying but our spiritual component will continue to live and grow forever.

Without this spiritual component we cannot enter the kingdom of God because our sinful nature of flesh and blood cannot live in the Presence of God.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 25

He, who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new!' Then he said, 'write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.' Revelation 21:5

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that this depraved, tired world will pass away and King Jesus will make all things new.

He will make EVERYTHING new!  Our Creator will create again! Skeptics and unbelievers will see how it is done. God spoke and it came into being. He commanded and it immediately happened!

'These words are trustworthy and true'!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 24

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has its own trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34

Citizens of the New Kingdom seek to live each day without worrying about the future. They know that the heavenly Father will take care of every tomorrow in the same way he takes care of today. Nothing ever catches him by surprise because he already knows what will happen tomorrow and he will be there to provide the blessings needed.

Citizens of the New Kingdom can enjoy one of the greatest treasure of being alive and that is living a worry free life each day. Our future is secure! One day we will walk out of this world and into eternity where we will be alive forevermore. We have nothing to really worry about.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 23

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. Matthew 6:13

Citizens of the New Kingdom may sometimes follow a path that lead to temptations and may struggle as they strive to overcome their human frailties.

When we pray and sincerely ask our King to direct our feet on paths away from temptations, we are more mindful of where we should be going and what we should be doing.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that when they fall into the trap of the Evil One, King Jesus can always deliver them. He overcame the world and defeated Satan.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 22

And forgive us our debts as we have also forgiven our debtors. Matthew 6:12

Citizens of the New Kingdom seek to forgive all who have wronged them. They live in the realm of mercy and grace.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that they have been forgiven of a multitude of sins. They are forgiven of un-repayable debts and so in showing gratitude to the Father they extend forgiveness to others.

Forgiveness brings freedom!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 21

Give us today our daily bread. Matthew 6:11

Citizens of the New Kingdom are learning to live in the present, today, NOW.

Citizens of the New Kingdom receives blessings from King Jesus and the Father for their present circumstances.

King Jesus is I AM.  He dwells in the present. He invites us to come to him daily so he can give us today our daily bread.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 20

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

Citizens of the New Kingdom give their allegiance to King Jesus and serve in his Kingdom. This Kingdom is established in heaven and extends throughout the earth. Before sin entered the Garden of Eden, the Father’s perfect will was done in heaven and on earth.

When Citizens of the New Kingdom pray as King Jesus taught they are acknowledging that the Father has complete jurisdiction in heaven and on earth. They welcome his purpose and his will throughout the entire universe.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 19

This then is how you should pray: Our Father,  hallowed be your name. Matthew 6:9

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that communicating with the Father is very important. It keeps us from getting lost.

King Jesus taught us how to pray to the Father.

Communication begins by recognizing who the Father is: 'Hallowed, Holy be your Name'

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 18

He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. Isaiah 53:2

King Jesus gave up the splendor of his glory to become man. He humbled himself and became a servant. He did this so there would be no reason for man to be attracted to him for his outward appearance.

Whenever King Jesus would allow his glory to be seen men always responded with worship. The demons responded with fear.

King Jesus emptied himself of the glory of his divinity so that he could be the perfect sacrifice for mankind.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 17

...he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all their faces; he will remove his people's disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that when God speaks,  it is done! !! King Jesus has swallowed up death for all his citizens. Death is no longer an enemy that must be feared.

King Jesus died on the cross and defeated death. He gives eternal life to all who will accept him as King.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 16

After he has suffered he will see the light of life and be satisfied.  Isaiah 53:11

There was a definite purpose to King Jesus' suffering. He is the only sacrifice that could bring life to his citizens.

The suffering of King Jesus means that the wrath of God regarding sin was and will always be satisfied. Eternal life became available to all who will accept him as King.

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that it cost their King his own life for them to be alive forevermore.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 15

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the Spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

Citizens of the New Kingdom have the Source of life living inside them because they were born again of the Holy Spirit. Before this new birth they were dead.

Citizens of the New Kingdom used to follow the ways of the world because they did not belong to King Jesus. They served the ruler of the kingdom of the air not the Creator of all things.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are now alive and have pledged their allegiance to King Jesus.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 14

When Jesus saw his mother there and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby,  he said to her, 'woman, here is your son'. And to the disciple, 'here is your mother.' From this time on, this disciple took her into his home. John 19:26-27

Jesus,  our King knew that he had to give up everything to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He could not even hold on to the love of his mother. 

Mary could not claim that she helped her son get through the agony of the cross. 

All the disciples ran away from him, Judas betrayed him, Peter denied that he knew him. He hung alone on that cross. He saw his mother and his friend and he knew there was one more thing to give up. King Jesus gave up everything so that citizens of the New Kingdom could have everything. 

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 13

But when the King came to see the guests, he noticed a man there who were not wearing wedding clothes. Matthew 22:11

King Jesus notices his citizens and knows them individually. We cannot blend into the crowd; we cannot go with the flow; we cannot hold on to someone's shirt tail. We have to have a relationship with our King as an individual. We have to personally be born again into the New Kingdom.

There are enough wedding garments for each of us to have one. The King is inviting you to the wedding and he also gives you the proper attire to wear. Isn't grace amazing!!!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 12

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him (Jesus), the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,  the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.  Isaiah 11:2

King Jesus carried out his ministry on this earth by the Spirit of God resting on him. The dove, representing the Spirit of God alighted on his head after his baptism and filled him with wisdom,  understanding, counsel,  might, knowledge and the Fear of the Lord.

The gifts of this same Spirit are available to all citizens of the New Kingdom today. May we be filled with the Spirit of God.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 11

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all - surpassing power is from God not us. 2 Corinthians 4:7

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that they can do nothing, accomplish nothing on their own. If God's power would be taken away for one second they would be helpless, hopeless, powerless...

Citizens of the New Kingdom have the most valuable treasure in their souls. The Presence of God,  the Living Holy Spirit dwells in them. Eternal life is a most desirable treasure.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 10

In all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:6

Citizens of the New Kingdom swear allegiance to King Jesus and must submit all their plans, goals and their all to him. If their plans match what the King has in store for them he will make the way smooth as they go.
If their plans do not follow his path, he will show them the right path. What a wonderful King we serve. He is always FOR us and not against us.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 9

We are hard pressed on every side but not crushed,  perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned,  struck down but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that living in this world is living in an alien environment. There is a battle raging on 3 fronts. We are dealing with our sinful human nature which demands our allegiance; we are dealing with temptations of the world calling us to indulge in the pleasures it offers and we also deal with the Evil One constantly whispering lies about who we are in Jesus.

The battle rages on but we are never crushed, abandoned, destroyed or in despair because King Jesus is always with us.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 8

Because he himself suffered when he was tempted,  he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18

King Jesus,  in his humanity, was tempted like his citizens are being tempted today. In the Garden before he was crucified he was tempted to walk away from the pain and sacrifice of the cross. He knows exactly what it feels like to be tempted.

Citizens of the New Kingdom can always go to the King when they are tempted. He has been through it and is able and willing to help us get through our temptations daily.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 7

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
Hebrews 2:14-15

Citizens of the New Kingdom have a King who shared in their humanity by becoming flesh and blood, being born like any other baby.

King Jesus came from heaven,  became human and died a physical death. By dying and then raising from the dead he showed the devil that he had power over death.

As King Jesus passed through death and came back to life, he showed his citizens that there is no reason to fear death .

Death is conquered by life!!!!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 6

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

Citizens of the New Kingdom do not live in isolation from what was taught in the past. The truth in the Scriptures is still just as relevant as they were when they were given.

The purpose is to keep us on the right path, give us patience and encouragement so we can have hope.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 5

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:6

This is what Christ resurrection means for Citizens of the New Kingdom:

The ministry of reconciliation is completed. Citizens of the New Kingdom are no longer under the judgment of the wrath of God for their sins.

Citizens of the New Kingdom enjoy abundant life here on earth and when this earthly life is over, they will enjoy eternal life forever.

Citizens of the New Kingdom no longer fear death because King Jesus conquered death and walked out of the tomb.

Citizens of the New Kingdom now have direct access to the throne of God through King Jesus because he lived on this earth, died and rose from the dead taking away all their sins.

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 4

When he had received the drink, Jesus said,  'It is finished'. With that he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30

When work is completed rest is welcomed. Citizens of the New Kingdom now have rest because King Jesus completed his work of redemption on the cross.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are resting from their sins and from the wrath of God because they accepted Jesus death on the cross as their own.

Citizens of the New Kingdom have entered into God’s rest forever more.

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 3

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5 : 21

The greatest exchange in all of creation took place on the cross. The sinless Son of God became sin so that sinful men can become God's righteousness.

Citizens of the New Kingdom are forgiven, redeemed and freed from their sins because they have accepted this great exchange.

The message from the angel was fulfilled on the cross...She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

Good Friday reminds us that we are loved by God!!!

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 2

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34

As Citizens of the New Kingdom we have been given the command from our King to love each other.

When someone knows that they do not have long to live they do the important things. They say the important words. They want their loved ones to know what is on their hearts.

Jesus told his closest followers just before he was arrested that the new command was LOVE. He wanted them to follow his example and show love for each other.

Citizens of the New Kingdom must continue to follow the example of King Jesus and show love today. It is not about religion! It is about loving relationships!

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35

Citizens Of The New Kingdom - April 1

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” John 18:36

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that their Kingdom is not from this world so they do not live according to the world's standards. 

Citizens of the New Kingdom know that King Jesus wants them to have a mindset that takes them from the temporary to the eternal. They don't fight this world, they let God's will be done.

Citizens of the New Kingdom await the Kingdom that is from another place, an eternal place.
