Citizens Of The New Kingdom

Welcome to the daily devotional, 'Citizens Of The New Kingdom'. Jesus, the King of kings said that he has a kingdom but his kingdom is not of this world.

Jesus came to this world, took on human nature, seeking citizens for his new kingdom. To become a citizen of this new kingdom he said that a person must be born again. A person becomes a Citizen of the New Kingdom by believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ, accepting forgiveness of sin through Jesus’ death and resurrection, receiving the Holy Spirit and identifying/fellowshipping with the church (called out assembly). This process is called the ‘second birth’ or ‘being born again’.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.  Colossians 1:13

There are only 2 Kingdoms. The Kingdom of Darkness and the Kingdom of Jesus. Everyone born on this earth is born into the Kingdom of Darkness until he or she chooses to become a Citizen of the New Kingdom, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

It is my prayer that your heart will be encouraged each day as you meditate on the wonderful privileges that you have as a Citizen Of The New Kingdom.
